The Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) was organized to raise awareness and provide real solutions for the more than 400 million vulnerable children worldwide. The focus of the charitable foundation is to provide grants to charities that are on the forefront in the following areas:

  • Adoption support organizations
  • Grants and zero interest loans for adoption
  • Child Rescue from human trafficking

RetailROI SuperSaturday Raises Nearly $350k

In January of 2012, over 200 retail executives joined together to help raise awareness, inpsire each other to leverage their strengths, and raise nearly $350k the weekend before the NRF Show in NYC.  Proceeds went to build schools, clean water projects, computer labs, and provide much needed foster care and foster care prevention services.  Click here for more news

Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) announced today the launch of an online charity locator to match up retailers looking to donate overstocked merchandise with local charities, thus receiving a potential tax deduction for items that were not going to be selling at a profit. Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute Honors Greg Buzek, Co-Founder of RetailROI with Award

The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) honored IHL president and Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI) co-founder Greg Buzek with the first annual Paul Singer Award at the 13th Annual Angels in Adoption™ Congressional gala. CCAI also honored Academy Award-nominated actress Nia Vardalos, NFL linebacker Scott Fujita, and Emmy Award-nominated television program Freddie Mac Foundation’s "Wednesday’s Child.' In addition, the national winners were joined by more than 40 other members of Congress in personally presenting awards to 140 "Angel" families throughout the country. Click here for more detail

Lifesong for Orphans provides grants and zero interest loans for adoption. They also work with churches to manage adoption funds, reducing the administrative burden at no cost.

Warm Blankets cares for Cambodian orphans with assistance from RetailROI

Warm Blankets restores the lives of orphans in partnership with churches, corporations, organizations and individuals who have a passion to help needy, parentless children. They build and staff orphan homes around the world in countries where international adoption is not available.

Nearly 200 retail executives will joing the industry's top CIOs, analysts, and technology vendors at RetailROI's SuperSaturday research event in New York on January 14, 2012.

RPE Suppots the Retail Orphan Initiative with Charity Tie-in at NRF

At the recent National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Conference and Expo, RPE associates encouraged others to join them in supporting the Retail Orphan Initiative (RetailROI). RPE provided free bottled water at stations throughout the tradeshow and encouraged everyone who enjoyed the water to make a $1 donation at the RPE booth. RPE matched each dollar donated for a total contribution of $1,500 to support clean water project worldwide.

Second Annual SuperSaturday Attracts 200 Attendees

For the second year, the Big Show got a super start on SuperSaturday. The January 8th event offered a strong agenda of sessions providing forward-looking insight into retailing and raised nearly $300,000 this year for RetailROI, the Retail Orphan Initiative.

Retail Orphan Initiative & IBM Collaborate To Help Retailers Raise Money for Charity

Big changes are happening in communities across the country, inspired by shoppers who just say, “keep the change.” The Retail Orphan Initiative RetailROI, in collaboration with IBM, has launched a national campaign designed to make it easy for retailers to raise money for charities at the point of sale (POS). Using an Auto RoundUp feature powered by IBM's SurePOS ACE retail software, shoppers can choose to donate change from their transactions to RetailROI's Round-up for Orphans campaign or other charities supported by their local retail establishments. Retailers simply "round up" transaction totals to the next whole dollar or more automatically during checkout. IBM ACE software with Auto Roundup is installed at more than 90,000 checkout lanes worldwide.

Retail Orphan Initiative Announces Computer Recycling Program for Retailers

RetailROI announced today a new partnership with the Gear Foundation for computer recycling when retailers come off warranty. The program will save retailers money and immediately create jobs for physically and mentally challenged young adults as computers are erased, refurbished, and and resold in the program.
